Much like the summer, Cage Titans brings the heat when the action returns to Plymouth Memorial Hall July 18 th for Cage Titans 77. The freshest faces and newest generations of amateurs warm up the red hot professional card suited for mid-summer. Hilarie Rose continues her recent surge against UFC veteran Ashley Yoder in the feature, top Cage Titans veterans clash in the co-main event when Joe Giannetti squares off with John Simon, all to culminate up to the Main Event between Jordi Maya and undefeated top local prospect Andrew Valdina. As always with Cage Titans, Plymouth Memorial Hall is the place to be on fight night July 18 th while seats are available, and at home on Spectation Sports.
Mixed Martial Arts is the only sport where men and women share the same opportunistic stage for glory, and the feature bout of Cage Titans 77 is a blessing to fans of womens MMA with the most experienced match up in recent memory on the local scene. Ashley “The Spider Monkey” Yoder has faced world championship level competition on the highest stage over her twenty fight career, and now finds herself travelling to Americas Hometown to face off against the undeniably revamped Hilarie Rose riding a five-fight win streak. Yoder (9-10, 4 SUB) having never been finished in competition, and having razor thin fights against the likes of Angela Hill and UFC Strawweight Champion Mackenzie Dern, brings an edge in durability and experience on top of a diverse skillset to the table as the road warrior in this match up. A prime test for Rose (11-7, 3 KO, 4 SUB) who is brimming with confidence and momentum winning her last 5 in a row with precise execution. A feature bout for the ages that will truly bring the best out of both hungry athletes.
Keeping the experience train rolling in the co-main event, John Simon has graced Plymouth twice with travelling victories across his near 20-fight professional career and takes a short notice match up against former Cage Titans double champion Joe “Skeletor” Giannetti. With a win on the 18th , Simon (11-7, 4 KO, 4 SUB) would rebound in a noticeable manner making a 5-1 run in his latest bouts, and already sitting at 2-0 in Plymouth, he surely feels more at home each new trip to the North East. And as much of a risk he puts on himself with a short notice fight, as much of a test he puts on his foe. No stranger to the lights of the Hall, Giannetti (17-7-1, 1 NC, 7 TKO, 8 SUB) is a durable finisher in his own right, and has maintained his focus and determination on his quest back to the big show. Both combatants will be eager to impress the crowd and the scouts, and both will surely need to be on their best game when the cage door locks.
The main event of Cage Titans 77 is sure to have big show implications pending the result when Andrew “The Gladiator” Valdina takes on Jordi “Kamikaze” Maya. Valdina (8-0, 1 KO, 4 SUB) has become the staple name of the decade to ring through the Cage Titans crowds, maintaining an undefeated record since going professional in 2022. With a fan friendly style that has developed a strategic base at this stage of career, Valdina risks it all against Mexican competitor Jordi Maya. Maya (8-3, 1 KO) represents Mexico City on his trip to the Northeast, and though he may be a stranger to the crowd in Plymouth, the cultural reputation of Mexican combatants should be more than enough to excite the Cage Titans crowd. The stakes could not be any higher in this international main event that brings massive opportunity to both respective athletes.
As always, the newest amateur faces appetize the stage in the prelims of Cage Titans 77 culminating in the Amateur Title fights at Featherweight between Drew Arpin and Blazie Nichols, and Lightweight between Mark Mckay Jr. and Jordyne Tavares. Catch all of the electrifying Mixed Martial Arts action at Plymouth Memorial Hall July 18th and at home on Spectation Sports.
